A Sovereignty Prayer

Father in heaven,
I come now because I am broken.
Because in the fragments of belief I've managed to hold on to, I can still see You and plans broader than the sky reflected from my jagged shards.
When these torn pieces spell out words like "Sovereignty" and "Intentionality", I am reminded that nothing escapes Your notice.
You have no blind side or blind spot.
Both light and darkness You see.
I feel so shattered before You...and it scares me.
But again You remind me that You are the Life-breather.
Of dust and dry bones and disasters like me.
And so I am learning to recognize the beauty of Your breath.
As I meditate on how things that are not yet will soon be, gusts of purpose fill my fragments of belief until they flesh out into a unified whole.
Like a puzzle nearing completion, this canvas of life starts making sense as excited utterances burst forth from those awaiting the perfection soon to be revealed.
Until then I am content to know that the God who has knit me together since the womb of my mother, will continue to providentially order all circumstances and the Holy Spirit, God's very breath in me, will once again work all things together for my good.
Amen.
